The University of Alabama has officially announced that A-Day will be April 17, and most likely be held at 2 p.m. The final of 15 spring practices will be held at Bryant-Denny Stadium and will be the only practice that is open to the public. Admission will be free.
According to the release from UA, spring practice will begin on March 12 with one practice prior to the University's spring break. The squad will reconvene on March 22 and will have the remainder of the practices between then and the 17th.
We will have our normal coverage of spring practice.

This is the most unfortunate part of any off season... saying goodbye to the departing seniors. When that group of seniors have closed their careers by going 26-2 in their final two seasons, capping things off with a national championship; well, it makes it that much harder.
In the next few years we will see senior classes filled with far more talent. There won't be a lot of these guys who will hear their name called during the NFL Draft in April. But their contribution to the history of Alabama football can not be denied.
They leave as champions.
It's that time again! With the recent news of players leaving early for the NFL, and National Signing Day rapidly approaching, it is once again time to take a look at Alabama's scholarship numbers situation.
Two pieces of information came out of Tuscaloosa today; one good and one bad.
As expected cornerback Kareem Jackson has declared himself eligible for the NFL Draft.
As some had speculated, Director of Player Personnel Jeremey was promoted to fill the defensive coach position vacated by James Willis.
Lane Kiffin has departed from the state of Tennessee, and for the sake of his health, hopefully forever. What's it all about? Alfie?
Here are a few thoughts:
On the heels of the great news that Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart has decided to stay at Alabama, it looks as though inside linebackers coach James Willis will not. The folks at the Tuscaloosa News are reporting that he will accept the position of defensive coordinator at Texas Tech, under former Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville.
