Bama Sports Report - An Alabama Crimson Tide Blog
The Alabama football team practiced in full pads again on Wednesday. It was the final practice of the week that will have a media viewing period.

The Alabama football team worked in full pads on Tuesday as they continue to prepare for the first road game of the season this Saturday.
Here's what you need to know:
Well, that was fun. We learned a good deal about a good number of teams last weekend.
And, despite that, Alabama remains ranked first. Boise State drops a few places due to the fact that their season's only marquee win just crapped the bed. Virginia Tech has left the building, and while they still can (and probably will) win the ACC, they're outside the top 25 for now. Ohio State and Oklahoma all looked quite ready for prime time against opponents who were supposed to challenge them, while Oregon started slowly, then woke up to throttle Tennessee. Oregon is averaging a point a minute at this point. Impressive. The rest of the poll after the jump.
The Alabama football team began preparations for the first road game of the season on Monday. The practice was held in shells, and saw the return of two prominent players.

We'll have more on the 24-3 victory over Penn State in the coming days, but here's a quick look at week two of the 2010 season.
We're playing ball again with the Crimson and White Roundtable as we head into the weekend. Four questions, we'll take a crack while we wait for tomorrow night to get here... sooner, please!
1) What is the most important thing we learned about the 2010 Alabama Crimson Tide in the wake of the San Jose State game?I'd submit we learned very little. At least at this point. These early season glorified scrimmages don't tell us much about the state of football teams in general. It's why I'm afraid we won't know much more after this weekend; frankly, we have no idea if Penn State is any good.
But, in reality, we do know a few things.
The Alabama football team worked inside the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility on Wednesday in preparation for Penn State this coming Saturday. The full pads practice was the last of the week that will have a media viewing period.

Sorry, folks, there ain’t gonna be no From The Couch this year. I’ve just got too many projects going on and no time for that kind of film study. Being the fanatic Tide fan that I am, though, I usually have a few thoughts about the game, and the regulars here are kind enough to give me this great platform to express them. I’ll also make a comment or two on the college football scene each week. So without no ado, whatever that is, here is this week’s MFTC (Modified From The Couch). no comments
Tuesday was day two of preparation for the Penn State game for the Alabama football team. The Tide practiced in full pads with Saturday's night's nationally televised game looming.
Here's what you need to know:
A week in, and Bama is still number one. Saturday, we'll obviously find out more about what the Tide has - Penn State looked good in their opener against (an admittedly hapless) Youngstown State.
Boise State looked good in an exceptionally entertaining game against Virginia Tech last night. I'm not ready to vault them over the Tide; Virginia Tech made tons of mistakes, and Boise plays teams that Youngstown state would give trouble the balance of the year. Ohio State looked great. And I don't care who Oregon was playing, if you put up 59 in the first half, you've got some weapons.
Texas looked sleepy against Rice. Florida looked comatose against Miami of Ohio. They both drop (Florida more than Texas).
And yes, I have North Carolina ranked ahead of LSU. Explanation after the jump.
