Well, that was fun. We learned a good deal about a good number of teams last weekend.

And, despite that, Alabama remains ranked first. Boise State drops a few places due to the fact that their season's only marquee win just crapped the bed. Virginia Tech has left the building, and while they still can (and probably will) win the ACC, they're outside the top 25 for now. Ohio State and Oklahoma all looked quite ready for prime time against opponents who were supposed to challenge them, while Oregon started slowly, then woke up to throttle Tennessee. Oregon is averaging a point a minute at this point. Impressive. The rest of the poll after the jump.

I continue to rank North Carolina ahead of LSU. This will be vindicated soon. North Carolina will not lose again for many, many weeks. Auburn looked just OK against Mississippi State, and the offense did not look like the unstoppable force it did last week.

Georgia: you're on notice. If Arkansas whips you this weekend, your time in the poll is finished for a good while. South Carolina, on the other hand, took care of business and rose rapidly. They are very impressive at this point. Florida slides up because so many in front of them lost, but they must begin to turn the offense around sooner. Tennessee should offer little threat this weekend, but if they do, look for the Gators to plummet in my poll.

Oregon State is 0-1 and plays Boise State next weekend (after what should be a laugher against Louisville this weekend). They either move up or move out.

That's all the BlogPollin' for this week. Not a ton to learn outside the SEC this weekend; the only game between two ranked teams (in the AP) is Arizona hosting Iowa. Other than that, we'll get to learn more about Auburn (hosting Clemson), Florida (at Tennessee) and Arkansas (at Georgia). Should be a fun weekend of SEC action.
