The Alabama football team practiced in full pads on Tuesday in preparation for the Tennessee Volunteers.
Here's what you need to know:
I hate orange.
D.J. Fluker was in a black jersey for the second consecutive day and looks almost certain to miss his second consecutive game. Alfred McCullough will start in his place.
Eddie Lacy was also in black for the second consecutive day, and it looks like he'll miss the Tennessee game as well. While he hasn't contributed much on offense in the last few games, he has played very on kick off coverage, and the Tide will have to find someone to replace him.
Julio Jones once again looked like he is ready to play again. After missing the second half of the Ole Miss game he has responded well to treatment, and looks solid for the second consecutive practice.
There isn't much going coming out of the camp at this point, which is a good thing. When all is quiet on Tennessee week, it typically means that things are going well. And all is quiet. The team seems to be responding well to the demands from the coaching staff that they up their level of intensity prior to the off week.
Greg McElroy looks to be improving steadily from some nagging injuries that might have lead to some of his recent struggles. He won't blame injuries, and the coaching staff is hesitant to do so, but Greg has had back to back subpar games. We saw that the staff protected him in the BCS Championship Game against Texas without letting anyone know about his injuries, and it looks like that might be what is going on again.
Bama will practice again on Wednesday, and we'll have our normal report.
And in case you forgot, I really, really hate orange.
