There are some pretty big surprises there. Jerrell Harris overtaking both Chris Jordan and Nico Johnson is pretty big. The fact that C.J. Mosley is apparently ahead of Tana Patrick is a big shock, as well.
DeQuan Menzie moving ahead of B.J. Scott is huge. I'm guessing Scott is the third corner with either he or Menzie playing the star in the nickel.
Corey Grant being listed is a bit of a shock, as he's been working with the scout team. His unique skill-set could get him on the field, though.
Phillip Sims being listed at all could indicate that they are not planning to redshirt him. That would be a bit of a surprise, but the thought process could be that they want both he and A.J. to have game experience when they are competing for the starting job next spring.
Lots of guys listed with "or" by their name. I'm guessing that will probably be gone by the time the Penn State notes come out. This is probably the staff's way of sending the message to guys that there is still competition. This is the type of thing that you can do when you are opening with San Jose State instead of Clemson or Virginia Tech.
Bama will practice later today and we'll have our normal report.
