I'm doing a bit of lounging before I head out to see the Black Crowes in Birmingham tonight, and a couple of quick notes this afternoon.
First, the Tide has jumped Texas in the AP poll to rise to #2 in the country. Sadly the AP poll is meaningless in the BCS, and Bama is still third in the Coaches' Poll. And, I found out from a friend (thanks Nish) that the Alabama Facebook page has announced kickoff for South Carolina will be at 6:45 pm on ESPN. Don't forget it's homecoming, so tickets could get outrageous.
That was a HUGE win for the Tide yesterday - and the Gamecocks coming to town is no smaller affair. It's the second straight game against a team ranked in the top 25 for Bama.
