Nick Fanuzzi has left the team. He’ll be transferring elsewhere, looking for a chance to play.
This is probably good news for the Tide, as it frees up a scholarship for next season. Fanuzzi was running with the scout team, and it seemed unlikely he’d see the field (barring some horrible circumstance).
We wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors.

Any word on where he may transfer? Wherever it may be, I wish him the best of luck.

No word yet on where he’s headed, but when we know, it’ll be in this space.

Ah, for the days of the Wayne Trimbles and the Jack O’Rears, when guys were proud to make a career of being the Tide’s third-string QB.
But I guess you’re right, Ell. It’s good news. We’ve even got Darrah to play third-string in case we don’t want to burn Star’s redshirt. I never had much hope for Fanuzzi once I saw that convoluted sidearm delivery on his prospect films.

Your waxing nostalgic for the ‘66 team (Trimble here and the other post about us getting jobbed) is an interesting coincidence - I’m reading “Missing Ring” by Keith Dunnavant. It’s about the ‘66 season. When I wrap it up (probably sometime next week), I’ll post a full review. So far a very enjoyable read.
