With the season ready to begin it is time for the predictions. We’re not getting into game predictions yet, that will come later in the week. Tomorrow brings in the first game week of the season and the university media relations department is expected to release a depth chart. I’m a glutton for punishment, so I thought I would be the first one out of the gate to be proven wrong on a prediction.
So here is how I think things will shake out when the official depth chart comes out:

I’ll take B.J. Scott in the slot, Travis McCall at tight end, and Don’ta Hightower at will.

I went back and forth on Reamer at the Will or the Sam before finally deciding that he might be the guy at both positions based on what formation Bama comes out in. If it’s the base 3-4 then it will be Hightower. If it’s the nickel then it will be Reamer.
I’ve edited the post to reflect that and to correct that I left inadvertently left Hightower off at the Will. I had him in as the starter with DeJohn as the back up and decided to list Reamer at both positions. I forgot to change DeJohn to Hightower, and presto… mistake.
It’s corrected now for those who saw the post earlier and wondered why.

Good chart.
I read rumors yesterday that people thought Ingram will be no. 2. I don’t think that’ll happen, but who knows?
Hasn’t Motley been running as the no. 2 Center though? The move to RG makes sense since Cardwell has experience at C.
Like you, I’m surprised how Vlachos hasn’t regained second team status yet.

It wouldn’t shock me in the slightest for Ingram to be #2 and my guess is that it would be in place of Grant - based on what has been seen in practice.
Motley has been working at center and Cardwell at guard, but that changed on Friday and they switched.
It wouldn’t shock me for Vlachos to be back in the 2-deep at any time.

I have heard that Chris Jackson is the starter in the slot, hence Hanks on scout team
