Michael H. Thompson (he’s added the initial) is once again playing good golf. He shot a bogey-free round at the Travellers Championship to shoot a 5 under 65. He is tied for fourth, one stroke out of a lead held by fellow Tide alum Steve Lowery (among others). Thompson finds himself tied with 6 other players including Auburn’s own John Huston.

Thompson has announced his intentions to turn pro after next week’s Palmer Cup in Scotland. Marten Olander and David Kirkpatrick, both formerly UA golfers, will coach the European squad. Good luck Michael!
