Alabama head coach Nick Saban hosted more than 1,000 High School Coaches at his annual coaching clinic. Among guest speakers were NFL Coaches Al Groh & Bill Belichick.
If you haven’t seen the video of Belichick’s introduction, UA Photographer Kent Gidley can clearly be seen in the background shooting photos of the handshake between coaches Saban and Belichick, as well as photos of Belichick speaking. These photos would, one would assume, make their way into Bama’s 2008 Media/Recruiting Guide.
There is possibly no more famous active coach than Belichick, and having him appear alongside Nick Saban, at Coleman Coliseum, in Bama’s Recruiting Guide is likely to be a big hit with potential players. This is the type of thing that having a coach of the caliber of Nick Saban brings to Alabama, and another of the many reasons why UA President Dr. Robert Witt talked about Nick Saban being an investment in the future.
