Alabama has been named the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl Team of the Week.
I'll be honest and admit that I had never heard of this award before today. Still, it comes from the Football Writers Association of America, and I have heard of that group. I would think that many of the same folks that voted here also voted in the AP poll, so this isn't much of a shock.
This is what happens when you dominate good football teams. You win SEC honors, you get on the cover of Sports Illustrated, you move up in the polls, etc.
But the 24 hour rule is in effect... Tulane is up next... move on... move on.
