On The Nick Saban Radio Show tonight, coach Saban dropped a bit of a bombshell.
Prince Hall is no longer suspended. Saban indicated that Hall had worked hard and improved his classroom work and his behavior in general.
Before everyone cries D.J. Hall discipline foul, let's take a deep breath and think about this.
The principle difference here is Prince Hall isn't needed for Saturday's game. Dont'a Hightower and Rolando McClain have both been good, and Prince Hall won't be required to roll over Western Kentucky (at least he better not be).
The situation with D.J. Hall in the Louisiana-Monroe game last year was objectionable because we needed D.J. to win - or so we thought. Turns out we were destined to lose with or without him.
Saban also indicated that he told Hall he could win a game back with good behavior early on. If that's so, and Hall did all he could, it's an indication that Saban may have helped this young man grow up. Here's hoping that's the case.
