The roundtable this week is hosted by Alabama Gameday - who is sporting a nice new look these days. What are your feelings on Alabama’s current position in the polls? Are we overrated? Underrated? Just right? We're on the cusp of overrated, as I predicted in the week one roundtable. We've not beat anyone (other than Clemson yet) and we have much to learn about this team. I'm fearful that if Georgia whips us, we're staring a week of "Alabama was overrated" and "they choked when it was on the line". If we lose Saturday, it will almost certainly be because Georgia has a better team - not because we choked. What aspect of the game did Alabama control that shocked you the most? What aspect of the game was Alabama dominated in that shocked you the most? Nothing we controlled Saturday was a surprise. We went out and handled our business offensively, and defensively we were tough in the red zone area. However, I'm continually concerned about our linebackers, particularly in pass coverage. I was surprised how easily Casey Dick was able to pass for yardage. Bobby Petrino does have an excellent offense, and Dick capitalized on the things it gave him, but we must play better pass defense - particularly when we run zone coverages that require the linebackers to make plays in pass defense. Name your player of the game on Offense. Also name one on Defense. I won't waste any keystrokes explaining why Glen Coffee deserves offensive player of the game. On the other side of the ball, the winner is Brandon Fanney. His seven tackles led all Tide players, and he's shown fantastic improvement this season. If he continues to get better, he could be scary good before it's all said and done. Alabama has dominated the first quarter, outscoring opponents 64-0 in the first quarter. How do you think this team will handle its first taste of adversity this season? I'll be surprised if Georgia doesn't hit us in the mouth on Saturday and we'll find out. And really, the only way to find out how we'll handle adversity is to confront it. I fear we'll see exactly how we deal with adversity Saturday. Setting aside Georgia, now that the season is well underway, how do you feel Alabama stacks up against what you've seen of their big opponents? I'll put it this way: right now, we'd be favored in every game we have left on the schedule except LSU. In my estimation, that means we should win those games. Whether we will or not depends greatly on this team's ability to finish and handle adversity... I'm starting to sound like someone else...
