From a Tidesports.com article today about Andre Smith comes this from Nick Saban:

Oher and Smitty are the best two offensive linemen in the draft in this part of the country

It's possible that Coach is just speculating about Andre's potential draft status for 2009, but we probably all know better than that. It would be a huge shock for Smith to return to the Tide for the 2009 season, especially when you consider the enormous contract signed by Jake Long this past season. Great left tackles can earn a fortune, and I think it's just a foregone conclusion that Andre will opt to forego his senior season.
