Well, we got the Florida game right! Some of us, however, were wrong when we thought that Wisconsin and Clemson would stand up and stop being patsies. Way wrong.

And, on to the border war between Ole Miss and Alabama... nxojkt: Ole Miss was able to upset Florida because the Gators gave away the game. Unless Bama comes out flat and uninspired, that shouldn't happen in this one. The Rebels are poor at run defense, and awful at pass defense, which doesn't bode well when facing a team that has scored as much as Bama has. Look for the Tide to come out and continue its season long first quarter domination, putting enough distance between themselves and Ole Miss to stamp out the emotion that the Rebels will doubtless come to Tuscaloosa with. Once Ole Miss is in "pass only" mode the Tide can take advantage of how much Jevan Snead loves to turn the ball over. Don't expect this one to be as close as some have been saying. Glen55: Three close losses and a win over Florida may make Ole Miss one of the top 3-3 teams in the country, but that's not good enough. Alabama will be ready and focused after a week off, so even if the Rebels play an uncharacteristically turnover-free game, they won't be able to dam the Tide. Look for Ole Miss to move the ball but have trouble cashing in for points. Meanwhile, this should be a game for John Parker Wilson and his receiving corps to get their timing down against the Rebels' last-in-the-conference pass and pass efficiency defense. Ell: Ole Miss has the best defensive line we've faced this year. They have the most talented offensive tackle outside of Tuscaloosa. They have an exciting and electric young quarterback. They even have a half-crazy wild man of a coach who will line up their most physical receiver in the backfield and make him do tricks. But they don't have anything in the secondary. Their linebackers are suspect. Outside of Oher, their offensive line is a sieve. And Houston Nutt is crazy. It's both a blessing and a curse. Our lines are too powerful, and the fact that our offensive line is as talented as it is totally neutralizes their biggest strength. The Rebels will not withstand yet another big first quarter by the Tide, and we'll all be enjoying the party well before that Missouri-Texas and LSU-South Carolina kick. Crump: Bama will try to avoid the top five jinx that seems to be going around this year. I would imagine that Ole Miss already played their upset card in the Swamp a couple of weeks ago but the Tide will have to right the offensive ship to escape the upset. With Houston Nutt's apparent man crush on Julio Jones, look for another receiver to have a break out game. With all the deep ball near misses to Marquis Maze, could he be the one? If another receiver can step up and JPW remembers Nick Walker can catch, the Tide should be able to score enough to outlast the Rebels. Defensively if Bama can create a turnover or two (or more) then it will go a long way towards staking claim to number one when Texas lays an egg against Missouri.
