The Tide worked in full pads today as preparation continues for the Iron Bowl on Saturday. Everyone worked as expected today (with the exception of Will Oakley). Tyler Love and Barrett Jones continued on the redshirt train today, donning the black jerseys.
Tuesday's practice was attended by former Tide great Lee Roy Jordan. Jordan still owns most meaningful interception records at the Capstone.
Roy Upchurch and Earl Alexander continued to work their way back into shape today. Both were spotlighted by Nick Saban as needing to "prove to themselves" that they were ready to play. They should be fine for Saturday's game.
Saturday's game is forecast to be played under sunny skies, with a high of 59 and a low of 37. Perfect football weather.
Finally, Saturday's honorary captain will be Siran Stacy. Stacy lost four of his five children and his wife in a horrific traffic accident scarcely a year ago. The sight of old number 27 running the ball on the field will surely bring even more emotion to what will already be an emotional day.
