Mark Gottfried's Crimson Tide basketball team signed five players at the start of the early signing period on Wednesday. The players were:

• Chris Hines - Forward - 6'8" 220 lbs (Southwest Illinois CC, Evergreen HS)
• Charvez Davis - Guard - 6'3" 190 lbs (Northwest Florida State College, Jefferson-Davis HS)
• Cully Payne - Guard 6'0" 170 lbs (Schaumburg HS, IL)
• Tony Mitchell - Forward 6'6" 185 lbs  (Swainsboro HS, GA/Central Park Prep)
• Shawn Kemp, Jr - Forward 6'9" 215 lbs (Cherokee HS, GA)

The basketball team keeps its 150 year steak of not signing a center intact. Congrats!
