Ian Rappaport reports today that the Virginia Tech opener in Atlanta next year is not a done deal. Rappaport cites sources close to the situation saying, in part:
Additionally, the source said, with the departure of quarterback John Parker Wilson, and possibly left tackle Andre Smith to the NFL, it's unlikely the Tide would open with such a high-powered opponent.
Well, it's hard to argue with that logic. Additionally, the Tide would need to break a contract with Florida International - who is presently on the schedule.
