The Houndstooth is set to re-open today, fully renovated and expanded. There's a brand new patio, and the capacity has more than doubled. There's about four times as much square footage... all in all, it's a bigger, better Houndstooth. [caption id="" align="alignright" width="320" caption="Do you recognize this place?"][/caption] Nearly 40 TVs will grace the new digs, and that includes a pair in the toilet. From the photos, it looks like much of that is in HD - it better be. I've always enjoyed the Houndstooth, but believed that there was no chance it was actually the 14th best sports bar in America - a ranking bestowed by Sports Illustrated. These new digs get it closer to the reputation. The re-opening is officially tonight at six, but in my estimation, it really won't "re-open" until about three hours prior to the Tulane kickoff. We'll see you there for a post-game victory beverage.
